Larry Knutsen
Michal Mednick has been a part of the ministry at Seaside Community Church for more than six years. Michael and I started a ministry called Men?s Prayer and Fitness approximately five years ago. We met twice weekly to pray for the men and to encourage them in their challenges. This involved several men from our church and from the community. Addiction recovery was often the focal point of those meetings. Physical health was also part of this ministry.
As one of the pastors at Seaside, I appreciate the fact that Michael is always available to serve, step in and help, and to get men into recovery. Michael has been part of many prayer meetings and service projects, constantly reaching out to others in need. I believe Michael is gifted in helping others in the recovery process. He continues to sponsor many men through the 12-step process of recovery. Pastor John Boyer and I continue to meet with Michael at least twice a week to encourage him as he reaches out to promote sobriety in our community.
It is a pleasure to have Michael as part of our Seaside family, he always made himself available to our entire staff to be of service in any way he can. If I had to add up the hours Michael has served alongside us in the church and the community I am confident that it would be well over 1,000.
Sincerely,
Larry Knutsen
